Relevant Instruments
Legal Documents referred to as Relevant Instruments for the Abuja MoU region are international maritime Conventions and Codes namely:
- The International Convention on Load Line, 1966 (LOADLINE 66);
- The International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea 1974, (SOLAS 1974);
- The Protocol of 1978 relating to the International Convention for Safety of Life at Sea, 1974;
- The International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships 1973, as modified by the Protocol of 1978 relation thereto, (MARPOL 73/78);
- The International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping at Sea, 1978 (STCW 78);
